Consult with a plumber.Low water pressure throughout the house?Products like water softeners or filters may reduce water pressure if recently added or needs to be serviced.  A water leak in plumbing can also affect pressure.If you have a pressure reducing valve (PRV) installed to protect your plumbing, it may need adjusting.  Most PRVs are installed after the water meter or before the water heater.  Talk to a plumber before adjusting it.If your water pressure suddenly drops to almost nothing ... it is could be a result of a broken water line.  High Water Pressure If your home is in a geographically low point or near a water pumping station, you may experience water pressure higher than 80 psi.  Sustained pressure that exceeds 80 psi can damage on-site plumbing systems and may affect your water fixtures. Unfortunately, the Acton Water District can’t alleviate high water pressure, but you may consider having a licensed plumber install a pressure-reducing valve at your home. Massacusetts plumbing codes require pressure-reducing valves (PRVs) to be installed on new or remodeled residential plumbing where water pressure exceeds 80 psi. A PRV reduces the water pressure coming into your home, if needed, to protect your plumbing much the same way that a surge protector protects your computer or television. A licensed plumber can assess your current plumbing system and recommend whether a PRV is needed for your home.

25AUB-Z3 / N35B Both units - are bronze, have removable strainer, seat, and have the bypass feature. The design difference allows the 25AUB-Z3 to have a higher flow rate than the N35B. Properly sized, either unit should work fine for your residence. Even though these units have a bypass you should still have an expansion tank on your hot water distribution system.

I get it, the size range for the 25AUB-Z3 is 1/2" to 2" and for the N35B it's 1/2" to 1". Thanks! Your answer makes alot of sense.

The 25AUB, is a bronze body water pressure regulator The N35B is a water pressure reducing valve both are set at the factory for 50 lbs. You really have to know your needs before making a choice. Best Wishes

These are the same type of device; different bells and whistles. The N35B has an bypass feature and 'cartridge' type seat assembly for easy repair. The other model has a strainer which can be easily accessed for periodic cleaning. Both are widely seen in residential use, as are the Wilkins model 70 and model 600.

I think I understand, thanks! One last question. Do you think it's worth for me to be able to clean out the strainer? I'm on city water.

Can someone tell me the advantages between the 25AUB-Z3 and the N35B Watts pressure reducing valves? Which one should I get? The 25AUB-Z3 valve seems to be about 15 bucks more expensive. [www.wattsregulator.com]

Sorry, I guess I'm really confused. The discription for the N35B & 25AUB both say they are "Water Pressure Reducing Valves" and "consists of a bronze body construction". What is the difference between a water pressure regulator and a water pressure reducing valve??? I want to reduce the pressure comining into my house which is now at 100PSI.

The normal pressure for your property will depend on its physical relation to the water source supply (tanks and reservoirs). If your home is at a higher elevation relative to a tank’s location, you will have lower pressure. Conversely, the lower your home is located downhill from the tank, the higher the pressure.
