Loss of control pressure allows line pressure in the valve body and spring force to move the stem and gate into the closed position.

We understand that this is an inconvenience and are continually working with manufacturers to educate them on how MAP affects our customers.

Since our price for this product is lower then MAP, the manufacturer does not allow us to display our lowest price until you place the product in the shopping cart. This allows us to continue offering our lowest prices while staying consistent with product manufacturer's policy.

During operation, pneumatic or hydraulic control pressure enters the cylinder. The extended stem travels downward, indicating the valve is open. The adjustable down-stop prevents further downward movement. The gate valve is now fully open. The actuator is designed to maintain the (reverse-acting) valve in the open position with pneumatic or hydraulic pressure in the actuator.

This process does not require you to purchase the product - it can be easily removed from shopping cart if needed.

While PexUniverse.com reserves the legal right set its own product pricing, some manufacturers require internet retailers to display a price at or above manufacturer's established MAP ("Minimum Advertised Price").

We offer a range of complete fail-safe close shutdown valves in either pneumatic or hydraulic styles to ensure surface safety during flowback operations. Many of these designs have been optimized with our Axelson™ surface safety product designs. Using hydraulic or pneumatic power to open and line pressure/spring return force to close, the frac flowback shutdown valves can be supplied with quick exhaust valves to reduce valve closure time.
