This Watts 1/2" reduced pressure zone assembly is designed to protect potable water supplies in accordance with national plumbing codes and water authority requirements. It's ideal for protecting drinking water supplies from dangerous cross-connections for non-potable service applications like irrigation, fireline, and industrial processing. It features 1/2" NPT body connections, quarter-turn ball valves, and a tee handle. This assembly can be used with SentryPlus Alert (sold separately) to activate the flood sensor, which detects excessive water discharges from the relief valve.This unit features two in-line, independent check valves, captured springs for safe maintenance, and replaceable check seats with an intermediate relief valve. Thanks to its compact, modular design, this unit facilitates maintenance and assembly, and no special tools are required for servicing. It also has a durable bronze body and large body passages for low pressure drop. This 1 inch pressure vacuum breaker backflow preventer is used to protect against health hazard and non-hazard backsiphonage of toxic or non-toxic liquids in industrial plants, cooling towers, laboratories, laundries, swimming pools and irrigation systems. It has a bronze body, spring loaded check valve, air relief valve with opening port, two resilient seated shutoffs and test cocks, and NPT end connections. This assembly meets the specifications of the USC FCCCHR Manual. The maximum working pressure is 150 psi (10.3 bar) and temperature range is 32 degrees F to 140 degrees F (0 degrees C to 60 degrees C). The pressure vacuum breaker includes a freeze sensor for use with SentryPlus Alert® technology to signal when ambient temperature approaches the freeze threshold. Activated through an add-on connection kit, the sensor also triggers freeze alerts to facility personnel. Connection kit available for building/irrigation management system (BMS/IMS).
