Now the electric thermostatic mixing valve is increasingly entering our life, but few customers know that some of the working principles of the electric temperature control valve. Today Smlghvac will bring you an introduction about the working principle of an electronic thermostatic mixing valve.

The temperature control in the user's room is achieved through the radiator thermostatic control valve. The radiator thermostatic control valve is composed of a thermostatic controller, a flow regulating valve, and a pair of connections, of which the core component of the thermostatic controller is the sensor unit, namely the wax thermostatic element. The wax thermostatic element can sense changes in ambient temperature and produce volume changes, driving the regulating valve spool to produce displacement, which in turn adjusts the amount of water in the radiator to change the amount of heat dissipated by the radiator.

A thermostatic mixing valve, referred to as a temperature control valve, is a typical application of a flow control valve in the field of temperature control. Its basic principle is to control the outlet temperature of the equipment by controlling the primary heat (refrigerant) inlet flow of the heat exchanger, air conditioning unit, or other cooling and heating equipment. When a change in load occurs, the flow rate is adjusted by changing the valve opening to eliminate the effects caused by load fluctuations and restore the temperature to the set value.

With small volume, lightweight, simple connection, large flow rate, and high regulation accuracy, widely used in the automatic control system of industrial processes in electric power, petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, environmental protection, light industry, teaching and research equipment, and other industries.

An air gap is a vertical space (usually one inch or more) between the end of a pipe or faucet and the top of a nearby basin or sink.

An electronic thermostatic mixing valve is a typical application in the field of temperature control such as HVAC. The controller has PI and PID adjustment functions. It has precise control, multi-loop control, and multiple functions for fluid flow, pressure, differential pressure, temperature, humidity, enthalpy, and air quality control. The actuator is divided into the electro-mechanical type and electro-hydraulic type, with manual and automatic adjustment functions, sensitive adjustment, large closing force, adjustable flow characteristics (linear equal percentage), and other characteristics. Electro-hydraulic actuator with automatic power failure reset protection function, can receive 0-10V or 4-20MA signal and with valve position feedback function. The valve body is a flow control valve, suitable for circulating pipeline chilled water, low-pressure hot water, domestic hot water, high-pressure hot water, seawater, thermal oil, and steam regulation, which features good linearity, adjustable ratio, tight sealing, high-temperature resistance, and anti-cavitation.

The three-way temperature control valve is mainly used for a single-pipe system with cross-pipe, its shunt coefficient can be changed in the range of 0 to 100%, the flow adjustment margin is large, but the price is more expensive, and the structure is more complex. Two-way temperature control valves are used for two-pipe systems and single-pipe systems. Two-way temperature control valves are used in two-pipe systems with higher resistance, while they are used in single-pipe systems with less resistance. The wax thermostatic element of the temperature control valve and the valve body are generally assembled as a whole, and the wax thermostatic element itself is part of the indoor temperature sensor. If necessary, a remote temperature sensor can be used; a remote temperature sensor is placed in the room where temperature control is needed, and the valve body is placed in a part of the heating system.

The set temperature of the thermostatic valve can be adjusted artificially, and the thermostatic valve will automatically control and adjust the water volume of the radiator according to the set requirements, to control the indoor temperature. Thermostatic valves are generally installed in front of the radiator, through the automatic adjustment of flow, to achieve the room temperature required by residents. The temperature control valve has a two-way temperature control valve and a three-way temperature control valve.
