As pioneers in the digitalisation of water analysis, we work in close collaboration with our partners and users to create and market innovative digital instruments for rapid microbiological monitoring of water.

Installed in the side walls of water treatment tanks, wall type pressure relief valves relieve groundwater pressure on the exterior sides of a tank.

We are proud to support the United Nations’ plan “Transforming our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”. Not only SDG 6 for clean water and sanitation is of great concern to us, we also care for the sustainable development goals 9, 11, 12 and 13.

Drinking water is essential for the health and well-being of all people and safe water a priority for many countries. bNovate is committed to supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #6 by developing solutions for safer water management and better protection of natural resources.

In 2022, bNovate received support by the Technology Fund, a growth-related loan guarantee from the Climate Division of the Federal Office for the Environment (BAFU). This program applies to scale-ups that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help preserve precious natural resources, like water.

Hydrostatic pressure relief valves, or water pressure relief valves, ensure that concrete tanks don’t float from the excess groundwater beneath them. Floating tanks can lead to serious cracks and other major issues. The increase over hydrostatic pressure that occurs from rising water tables triggers the opening of the pressure relief valve, allowing water to enter the tank and preventing it from floating.

Located on the bottom of a tank, floor type pressure relief valves open up when excess groundwater is present to prevent floating.
